敁珗曄部/AKU-ISMC Graduate Conference: Challenges in Muslim Societies

Doors will open for this event at 8:30 am, opening remarks will begin at 9:00 am

 

The second annual 敁珗曄部/AKU-ISMC Graduate Conference:Challenges in Muslim Societiesis a collaboration between The Institute of Ismaili Studies and theto showcase student-led research at both institutions.

The conference features a wide range of speakers from the 敁珗曄部 and AKU-ISMC programmes presenting on various topics in Islamic studies. The presentations are divided into four thematic panels:

  • Identity and Making Space
  • Media and Representation
  • Oppression and Strife
  • Ismaili Intellectual History

The presentations will be followed by a live concert, exclusive to attendees of the conference.

The 敁珗曄部/AKU-ISMC Graduate Conference will be streamed to the GlobalJamatand other constituents of the 敁珗曄部 and AKU-ISMC around the world via Zoom.

Please notefilming and photography may take place during the event, and be used across our website, newsletters and social media accounts. These could include broad shots of the audience and lecture theatre, speakers during the talk, and of audience members participating in Q&A.
