Central Asian Studies
Central Asian Studies Unit (CASU) is engaged in research and documentation of the history and intellectual traditions of the IsmailisAdherents of a branch of Shi’i Islam that considers Ismail, the eldest son of the Shi’i Imam Ja尪far al-廜〢diq (d. 765), as his successor. of Central Asia within the broader Islamic heritage of Central Asia. It also publishes relevant books, including monographs, conference proceedings, critical editions as well as the translation of 敁珗曄部 publications into Russian and Central Asian languages.
