Dr Qurbonievs resarch interests include Fatimids and Ismaili history, cultural production and writing in Islamicate languages, and the broader history of the Samarqand to Zaragoza region.

He is currently working on the creation of a corpus of Ismaili texts in Arabic and Persian for digital analysis.
