Nausheen Hoosein is the Secondary Curriculum Teacher Educator in the Department of Education. In this role, she is responsible for curriculum development, evaluation, and teacher education at the Secondary level. Ìý

Nausheen is a graduate of the Institute’sÌýSecondary Teacher Education ProgrammeÌý(STEP, Cohort 6) completing a dual Masters in Education (Muslim Societies and Civilisations) fromÌýÌýand Masters of Teaching (MTeach) from the Institute of Education.  She also holds an MA in Art History from theÌýÌýand a BA in Political Science and Public Policy from theÌýÌýCurrently, she is pursuing a PhD in Islamic Art & Architecture at the University of York. Her research broadly focuses on the art, architecture, and material culture of Islamic Spain, and the reuse and appropriation of architectural spolia in the medieval Mediterranean.

Nausheen has worked extensively in the field of education and academia for the past ten years in various capacities, including as a STEP educator for ITREB USA, museum educator at the Dallas Museum of Art, research consultant at the University of Texas, and most recently as an education consultant with DCS. Prior to joining the ÎçÒ¹¾ç³¡, Nausheen was a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of York where she also completed theÌýand obtained the qualification of Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
